If you currently receive benefits from one of the listed groups, the Alberta Dental Services Corporation (ADSC) now accepts submission of claims for dental hygiene services from private practice dental hygienists.

You may now call your local Private Practice Registered Dental Hygienist for oral health care including: examination, x-rays, polishing, dental cleanings, fluoride treatments and sealants.

Two pieces of ID are required for authorization to receive benefits. Please visit our LOCATIONS page find a dental hygienist in your area.

Primary Health Care Providers

Dental hygienists are primary health care providers whose area of practice focuses on preventive education and treatment surrounding oral health care and health promotion. Dental hygienists may work independently or in association with other health care providers. Dental hygienists work as part of a collaborative health care team, which could include:
